The Moorcock Inn, Blacko

Our Great Food!

All our food is prepared with the greatest care in mind by our chef and owner of the Moorcock Inn,

Mr. John Patterson, who has over 30 years of experience in the industry.

Our traditional countryside pub and restaurant menu gives our customers a great choice and wide diversity of flavours.

A Bit About Us...

Located on the border between the Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside,

our restaurant looks over the Admergill Valley, beyond Roughlee and Barley towards Pendle Hill.

Located approximately halfway between the villages of Barrowford and Gisburn, the building itself dates to the mid 1700's and has

a long history as a coaching house and refuge for the weary traveller and local folk alike. On either side of the restaurant can be

found ample parking and within, a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Fancy a walk?

The restaurant also lies on the Pendle Way and several points of access to public trails exist around the restaurants location.

From the restaurant, one can

- follow the bridleway to Barnoldswick that crosses Gisburn Old Road behind the gastropub

- follow Gisburn Old Road towards the summit of the nearby Weets Hill

- take the path leading through the Admergill Valley and onto Roughlee, Barley, Downham, Blacko and Barrowford.
